The 2 Kruger Park Lodges Safari enjoys Safari experiences at lodges which are located inside the Kruger National Park. Fly into Hoedspruit Airport where you are met and transferred to Hamiltons tented camp, one of only a hand full of camps in Kruger which is built in the style of an east African tented camp. Two nights spent at Hamiltons is followed by a short transfer to Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Lodge which is unique in the fact that it is built in the style of a Tsonga village and also offers some insight into the culture and traditions of these proud peoples of Southern Africa.

Kruger Park Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Kruger National Park

Guests are met at any location of their choice in Johannesburg, from where you are transferred to the airport for a flight to Hoedspruit Airport. Guests are met upon arrival and are transferred to Hamiltons Safari Lodge. The lodge is located in the central section of the Kruger National Park in a private 15000 Hectare concession. The afternoon is devoted to a first open 4×4 safari at Hamiltons in the company of experienced rangers and trackers.

Day 2: Kruger National Park

The area in which the two game drives of the day are conducted is criss-crossed by three river systems. The northern portion of the concession is characterized by open savannah grassland, and southern portion by heavily wooded areas. These different vegetation regions ensure the area attracts a great number of species to these diversified habitats. Game viewing on the two open 4×4 safaris is sure to be exceptional in this part of the Kruger National Park.

Day 3: Kruger National Park

A morning open 4×4 safari is followed by breakfast, after which guests are transferred to Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Lodge. The lodge offers exceptional accommodation in a region where game viewing is of the highest standard. The late afternoon is devoted to a first open 4×4 safari in the company of an experienced ranger and tracker, both of whom are experts in locating game, the most notable being the ‘Big 5’, in this area of the Kruger National Park.

Day 4: Kruger National Park

The members of the ‘Big 5’, namely lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard, are not only amongst the fiercest and most dangerous animals found on the continent but also the most graceful and interesting. A day devoted to two open 4×4 safaris and a bush walk is sure to lead to sightings of some of these magnificent creatures, with the insights of the ranger into their behavior and habits sure to enhance your experience. The signs left by passing animals both great and small are interpreted, shedding some light on the tapestry of life which exists in this eco-system.

Day 5: Departure

A last morning game drive at Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Lodge is followed by breakfast, after which guests are transferred to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport for a flight to Johannesburg after a memorable safari in the world renowned Kruger National Park.
