Approximately an hour’s drive from Cape Town, along the winding road from Kommetjie and Misty Cliffs, you’ll come upon a pretty seaside village flanked by pristine beaches, scenic mountains and a camel-shaped rock formation – this is Scarborough. It has long, white beaches with few footprints, so get out there and enjoy a revitalising walk or see if you can spot some of the region’s seabirds. It is ideally suited to bodyboarding, surfing, windsurfing and kite surfing.

Vineyards – Wine is synonymous with Cape Town and the surrounding vineyards produce award-winning chardonnay, sauvignon blanc and semillon wines. The Cape Point vineyard encompasses the Noordhoek and Scarborough estates, and although they’re not open for tastings, local restaurants proudly display and sell their wines.
